Siesta
Siesta
Siesta, a light and lustrous amethyst coloured tulip of great size and perfect shape with an elegant white rim.
The petals are neatly lascinated, enhancing the beauty of the flower. A strong tulip of delicate beauty held on 50cm stems in mid-spring. The flower lend an air of expanse to the garden, very soft and telling when grown in groups at the feet of shurbs. It can surely stand alone without any supporting colour but it also works nicely with other flowers. A great garden tulip that also makes a fine and long-lasting cutflower.
Suggestion: very effective when paired with Spanish Bluebell (Hyacinthoides); enchanting with the light blue spires of blue Camassia's, the Bluebells American cousin.
