Ornithogalum saundersiae
It grows well in almost any sunny border, reaching a height of between 90-110m. A striking plant, excellent for a prominent position in the garden and because of its height best planted towards the middle or back of the border. The bulbs like to feel the heat of the sun and while they are growing give them plenty of water. Plant about 10cm deep, 15cm apart.
Hardy in Holland and Britain with a protective winter mulch of dry leaves or leaf mould. Where temperatures fall much below freezing, the bulbs are best grown in containers that can be moved indoors over winter.
