Crocus (autumn flowering)
Treat like the above. Do not plant them where there is likely to be a heavy fall of leaves in autumn. Unless regularly raked off, the leaves might hide the flowers. Since the stems of autumn Crocuses are either leafless or have only a suggestion of foliage, they look especially pleasing when given the support of green of grass or other low growing plants. Expect from them a generous spread of grass-like leaves in early spring.
Autumn Crocuses can also bloom indoors in pots or special glasses. After they have flowered, the pots should be placed outside or the bulbs planted into the garden.
