Found in open areas in the pine forest around Mt Parnassus in southern Greece and one of the real beauties of the tulip race. When the sun is warm, the flower opens from an oval greenish copper bud to form a bowl-shaped, blood-orange flower around a black, yellow edged center.
Every spring we look forward to the extremely pretty flowers. If given a warm, sunny situation it proves most reliable, blooming year after year. No garden or terrace will be complete without this dashing small thing. Mid spring flowering. Height 30cm.
