Crocreation
Crocreation
Crocreation, probably the most frequently planted of any crocus.
The cheerful colours of the Dutch crocus greet us in late winter when gardens are still bare and dreary. This blend of bright purple and golden yellow is very floriferous, each corm producing several large flowers.
Few combinations are so fresh-looking, so jaunty and appealing. These are the giant Dutch spring crocus, good for naturalizing in grass-like places, in beds and borders, among ground-covers or in a wild setting where they should enjoy at least a few hours of direct sun. Height 10cm.
Suggestion: Fine for trails in the shrubbery border in combination with early narcissus. Works well planted in large drifts in grass. The grass should not be mowed, however, until their foliage has turned yellow.
