In late spring and early summer the 80cm tall stems are packed with creamy-white, starry flowers. The flowers open progressively from the base and are a marvellous addition to the soft coloured border. Perfect for filling the gap between late flowering tulips and early summer perennials.
One of the best and sturdiest of all white-flowered bulbous plants and as easy to grow as daffodils. In the wild it is found in damp meadows but it will thrive in any good garden soil in sun or light shade, even tolerating the heavy clay soils that many other bulbs find difficult.
Suggestion: wonderful in combination with Allium Purple Sensation and black Tulip Queen of Night.
