A selection out of the original species from Crete. Jolly lilac-pink flowers with deep yellow centres. A true jewel, the colours soft and appealing. Charming in small groups, pretty in pots or or use them for edgings in the garden; you will like them anywhere.
A colony of them is simply dazzling when the sun shines upon them. Planted in pots they will cheer up any terrace or balcony. In its native home it is found growing in old vinyards and olive groves, and also on rocky cliffs and screes. Mid spring flowering. Height 15cm.
Suggestion: lovely when mingled with sprightly mid-spring bulbs like Narcissus Baby Boomer and Hawera or try them with any of the blue Muscari.
