Naturalizing Bulbs
Bulbs like crocuses pushing through lawn grass and daffodils swaying in meadow grasses under orchard trees signal the arrival of spring. Many of our bulbs thrive in similar settings—growing through grass, beneath shrubs, and between emerging perennials. Here you'll find unusual varieties like Anemones, Chionodoxa, Scilla and Puschkinia, alongside well-loved grape hyacinths and snowdrops—perfect for naturalising. Scattered across lawns, meadows, and borders, these hardy bulbs multiply year after year by setting seed and producing offsets. Later in spring, taller Bluebells, Camassia, and Leucojum take over, continuing the display. To succeed, plant bulbs deeply and allow their foliage to die back naturally. In grassy areas, delay mowing for at least six weeks after flowering to let them flourish.
