Narcissus
Daffodils are indispensable in our spring gardens. They are reliable, durable and tough, reappearing year after year. Yellow, white and pink daffodils can bring fresh colour to the garden. Starting in early spring through to the summer, with flowers ranging from tiny bells to large bold trumpets. Create highlights by growing them in pots and as discrete groups dotted around the garden. Better still, use them as a leading theme during the season by using large numbers to fill whole sections of your garden. In combination with the other star bulbs of spring including tulips, camassias and fritillarias, dramatic garden borders are surprisingly quickly realised.
