The Yellow Lily Leek of Spanish woodlands and a popular, old garden favourite. A charming miniature with clusters of starry, daffodil-yellow flowers on 30cm stems in early summer. The blue-green leaves are broad and handsome and still fresh and presentable when the flowers come out.

'Jeannine' is the best selection with larger more reliable flowers, neat in appearance and always bringing a bright sparkle to its corner of the garden. Winter hardy and suitable for naturalizing in the sunny border or in light woodland. Plant generously for a golden summer send-off.

Suggestion: mix the bulbs with Crocuses at planting time, two shows in one spot.

Plant in full sun or light shade in any soil provided it is well-drained. They are very effective both in the wild garden or in the border where they will lengthen the
season for flower bulbs. For best effect Alliums should be grown in clumps of 5 or more. Bulbs may be left undisturbed for years and should be lifted and separated only when they become too crowded.
