A rare and charming little double daffodil of soft yellow colour, curious form and yet very dainty. It lacks the trimness of figure of its larger cousins, looking much like a grumpy Old Dutchman who almost certainly slept in his clothes.
And yet so enchanted is one to see such a flower early in the year that one is not al all critical of its careless port. It performs best in the dappled shade of leaf losing trees in soils that do not become too dry. Bear in mind that this is a little fellow, rising only 15cm from the ground. Try a few and see if you are won over to them. Very early and very hardy.
