Large, overlapping round white petals framing a tiny, soft-yellow cup. A sophisticated flower; sleek, lovely and living up to its name. A member of the Poeticus group, carried on 45cm stems and swinging about with rare grace in late spring.
It is happiest and perhaps looks at its natural best in the thin grass of orchards, but its open white blooms will make a splendid show anywhere. Plant them in rich open soil in sun or light shade and there will be little trouble with this cool beauty.
