Charming flower with rolled back petals and a long, narrow tubular trumpet. Well named, for it reminds one of a person peeping over a hedge or fence. The flowers are dark yellow throughout, thick textured and held on sturdy, one foot tall stems.
It has long brought joy to the hearts of gardeners and is still afavourite when known. Very reliable, returning every year with increased vigour; each bulb sending up several flowers. An eager spirit that can handle light shade and even wetness. Handsome addition to the border or the wild garden. Perfect for pots. Early-mid spring flowering. Height 35cm.
