Classic grape Hyacinth. In Holland the cobalt-blue spikes of this muscari are as well known as the tulips and daffodils with which it blooms. This is the easiest way to create pools of blue colour in the garden, when massed it looks like a summer sky fallen to earth.
Strong grower, each bulb yielding 3 to 5 flower spikes. It not only persist but multiplies, thriving in almost any open situation. The foliage often appears in autumn and lasts through winter. A good choice for those hard-to-plant places but it can be invasive. Midspring. Height 20cm
Set them (muscari) out in close groups beween the Peonies and as they bloom the red shoots of the Peonies will appear at the same time
