This beauty is one of the pleasures of the late spring garden. A fine deep royal purple of good form with a silvery-white fringed edge. The interior of the flower is lighter in colour and boasts a deep purple-blue base. A small group of them creates a striking focal point.
Considered the best in its colour and fully deserving its illustrious name. Evergreens and shrubs make a splendid backing but it will thrive in any garden and in any fairly sunny situation. Height 70cm.
