Long and exquisitely modelled deep yellow flowers streaked with burning red flames. A tulip of great size and noble carriage, very late and very tall and a champion in the border too. This tulip is extremely useful.
Like all the so-called 'French Tulips' it stands head and shoulder above other tulips and a single clump towards the back of the border will provide a striking focal point. A magnificent thing, also makes an excellent cut flower. Height 80cm.
Suggestion: it will look wonderful in combination with the black Tulip Queen of Night.
Suggestion: grow with blue-flowered Hyacinthoides in the front or blue Camassia's towards the back.
