Dark chestnut with a glowing yellow edge, the colour contrast being extremely pleasing. A tulip of beautiful rounding form held on a most capable stem. Immensely effective in the garden where a small group will be a very choice bit in the border or in pots.
Its telling hue merits a place in every garden where it can be combined with yellow and darker coloured varieties, bringing character to any careful grouping. Named after an old French peasant dance. Late-spring flowering. Height 45cm.
Suggestion: for an effective setting try growing it with lily-flowered tulips Flashback or Merlot. Charming grown with Bleeding Hearts in light shade.
