An astonishing tulip providing a wealth of variegated blooms. The flowers vary from an almost plain creamy-peach to a heavily streaked deep rose-red. No two flowers are alike. A wealth of colours that has to be seen to be believed.
One of the most elegant of tulips. Slender arching stems, rising to a height of 90cm, carry immense vaselike flowers. Everyone who sees it is enchanted by it. Invaluable for the border, it also provides superb cut flowers. Mid to late spring flowering.
Suggestion: It is quite a challenge to combine El Nino with other bulb flowers, It does, however, work with light blue Camassia growing at the back. The misty-blue spires soften the colour of the planting with lovely effect.
