Double amaryllis resemble large Victorian ornaments and are fast becoming the fashion. This candy-striped beauty is one of the best: great and luscious flowers carried on sturdy 50cm stems. In our opnion, this is the queen of the amaryllis kingdom.
As the blooms mature, the red takes on a more orange tone. A beautiful lady that almost appears a trifle overdressed. Bulbs may be planted from September until May, each bulb sending up at least two stems, carrying several flowers each.
